GROVE CITY — Obituary was published April 21, 2010.



Margie Sagulla Godinich of Orchard Manor, Grove City, formerly of Jackson Center, died at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Orchard Manor. She was 95.

She was born Sept. 28, 1914, in New Castle to Patrick and Margaret (Vallely) McCormick.

She married Frank Sagulla on May 9, 1940, and he died Nov. 25, 1964. She married Steve Godinich July 8, 1978, and he died Dec. 23, 1988.

Mrs. Godinich retired in 1981 from Orchard Manor, where she was a cook for 17 years.

She was a Catholic.

She is survived by: Two children, Rose Marie Higgins, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Frank R. Sagulla and wife Terry, Jackson Center; a sister, Mary Haney and husband Richard, Portersville; a brother, Ralph McCormick, Sharon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a special child that she considered a grandson.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents; both husbands; four sisters, Betty Dunnigan, Sarah Grommes, Agnes Holmes and Helen Coast; four brothers, Charles, her twin brother Patrick, Francis “Barney” and Emmett McCormick; 3 grandchildren, John Eric, Anne Marie and Chet David Sagulla.

Her family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Orchard Manor, Grove City and Southern Care, New Castle.

Calling hours were Thursday (4-15-10) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., Grove City.

Funeral service was Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. James J. Kennelley of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Mercer, officiating.

Interment in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
