Marcella R. Basham

Pine Twp. church member worked as housekeeper

PINE TOWNSHIP — Obituary was published April 28, 2010.

Marcella R. Basham, a resident for eight years of 309 Stewart Ave., Grove City, passed away unexpectedly at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. She was 73.

Ms. Basham was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Pine Township to Elbert James Basham and Julia M. Holland Basham.

She was employed locally at various sites as a domestic housekeeper.

Marcella was a lifetime member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Pine Township. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.

Surviving are two children, Wayne Basham and his wife Julia, Orlando, Fla.; and Chad Basham, Grove City; three sisters, Eleanor Basham and Susan Whiteside, both Grove City; and Leara Davis, Butler; and two grandchildren, Christopher Craig and Kiara Craig.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roland Basham; a sister, Joan Wilson; and two brothers, Edward and Lawrence Basham.

Calling hours were Tuesday (4-27-10) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., Grove City.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. today (4-28-10) in Mount Olive Baptist Church, 663 Barkeyville Road, Pine Township.

Interment in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
