Thomas Gaylord Munnell, formerly of 84 Constitution Blvd., Fredonia, passed away at 5 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, in Avalon Springs, Coolspring Township, where he had been a resident for the past several years. He was 77.
Mr. Munnell was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Mercer, a son of Clifford and Francis King Munnell.
He was a lifelong truck driver, having retired in 1999 from Barris Trucking, West Middlesex.
He also had driven bus for O.D. Anderson, Greenville.
An Army veteran, he served during the Korean conflict.
Thomas was a member of Fredonia United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was married to the former Lois Joanne Dale, who preceded him in death Jan. 12, 2009.
Mr. Munnell is survived by: three sons, Benjamin Munnell and Charles Munnell, both Fredonia; and Kenneth Munnell, Ohio; and a sister, Viola Harpst and her husband Raymond; and brother, James Munnell and his wife Patsy, all Fredonia.
Besides his wife, Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel T. Munnell; a brother, William C. Munnell; and a niece and three nephews.
