SHARON —
Louis James Kroack of Transfer passed away at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 85.
Mr. Kroack was born March 17, 1927, in Turtle Creek, Pa., to Louis and Isabelle Gourdie Kroack.
He attended Grove City High School.
Louis served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Louis worked at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 15 years until his retirement.
Louis was a member of Church of the Brethren in East McKeesport, Pa.
He also belonged to the American Truck Historical Society. Louis liked model trucks, antique trucks and cars, and collecting model cars and trucks. He also enjoyed fishing.
On Aug. 18, 1948, he married his wife, Corene Mae Moyer, who survives at home.
Louis is survived by his wife, Corene; a son, Kenneth J. Kroack and his wife Shelley, Glendale, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Patricia A. Kroack, Grove City; a grandson, Kenneth Shepherd; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis S. Kroack; mother, Isabelle Kroack; son, Raymond L. Kroack; sister, Mary E. Nese; and brother, Edgar R. Kroack.

Funeral service was Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Lee Weber, retired minister, officiating.
Interment in Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
