PITTSBURGH —
Wilson Clifford Emery Sr. of Jefferson Township, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 69.
Mr. Emery was born Jan. 5, 1944, in New Castle to Oliver and Mary Carr Emery.
He was an alumnus of Laurel High School, New Castle.
He was employed as a truck driver for 40 years by Bonsel American of Fredonia, retiring in May 5, 2005.
Cliff was a life member of Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department and Mercer County Fire and Police.
He enjoyed NASCAR races, hunting, fishing, attending truck and tractor pulls and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His wife, the former Goldie Edna King, whom he married April 25, 1965, passed away Nov. 20, 2010.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mary Lisa Patterson and her husband Michael, Grove City; Tracy Chisholm and her husband Daniel, Cochranton; and Tammy Buck and her husband Timothy, Hadley; three sons, Barry King and his wife Kathleen, Clinton Township, Mich.; Michael King and his wife Becky, Grove City; and Wilson C. Emery Jr., Mercer; a sister, Mary Drew, New Castle; three brothers, Alvin Emery Sr.; and Kenneth Emery and his wife Arlene, all New Castle; and Oliver Emery and his wife Diane, Pennsylvania; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Violet Donner, Rebecca Spot, Patricia Emery and Mary Emery; and three brothers, Samuel, William and Charles Emery.
