Elizabeth J. Reed of Pine Township, formerly of Liberty Street and Fellowship Manor, Grove City, passed away at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday (1-9-13), in Orchard Manor, Pine Township. She was 95.
Mrs. Reed was born Dec. 6, 1917, in Grove City to Austin Cecil White and Marie Hazel Barnes White.
She was a homemaker and was formerly employed as a clerk at Kocher's Grove City Floral Co.
Mrs. Reed was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.
Her husband, Charles W. Reed Jr., whom she married Sept. 17, 1941, died Nov. 2, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters, Dr. Carolyn Reed, Cupertino, Calif.; and Suzanne Lee, Mercer; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee and his wife Paula Gray, Chicago; David K. Lee and his wife Margaret, Pittsburgh; and Michael A. Lee and his wife Miriam, Pittsburgh; and three great-grandchildren, Samuel A. Lee, Pittsburgh; and Emmett C. and Mirai L. Graylee, both Chicago.
Besides her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Hindman.
Private family services were Friday (1-11-13) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., Grove City, with the Rev. Geoffrey Wild, vicar of Church of Epiphany Episcopal, Pine Township, officiating.
Interment followed service in Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
Arrangements by Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Reed's memory to East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St.; or Church of the Epiphany Episcopal, 870 Liberty St. Extension, both Grove City, PA 16127.
