EAST LACKAWANNOCK TWP — Thomas Alan "Tommy" Hibbard Sr., 8388 Lamor Road, East Lackawannock Township, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Thursday (12-27-12) at his residence. He was 71.

Mr. Hibbard was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Pittsburgh to Robert Leonard Hibbard and Florence Young Hibbard.

He married Barbara Gelesky Hibbard on March 26, 1970.

Mr. Hibbard was employed by Ray Thompson Painting and Cleaning and Thiel College, Greenville.

He was a Catholic.

Mr. Hibbard was a member of National Model Railroad Association.

Surviving are: his wife and a son, Thomas "Henry" Hibbard Jr. both at the residence; a daughter, Bridgette and her, husband Soti Kakalis, in Palm Harbor, Fla.; a brother, Terry Hibbard in Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great- nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Barbie Hibbard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mercer Area Library, 110 E. Venango Street, Mercer 16137.

Calling hours were Monday (12-31-12) in Cunningham Funeral Home, 144 S. Pitt Street, Mercer.

Memorial service was Monday (12-31-12) in the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Leonard, pastor of Mercer United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial in Mercer Citizens Cemetery, Mercer.
