WOLF CREEK TWP —
James "Ed" Edward Weber, of Patterson School Road, Wolf Creek Township, passed away in his residence at 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. He was 67.
Mr. Weber was born Aug. 20, 1945, in Wolf Creek Township, to Donald Reed Weber and Sara Velma Baker Weber.
He married Lucinda Ann Lanigan on June 15, 1968; she died Feb. 21, 1996.
Ed was a self-employed farmer most of his life and formerly operated an auto service garage in the village of Millbrook.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Ed was a member of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam era.
For many years he was a member of the Centertown Drifters Band where he played bass guitar. Formerly he played softball in the Millbrook league.
Ed enjoyed being with his family.
Survivors include: three children; Wendy Riddle, Grove City; Shelia A. Harris and her husband William "Bud," Fredonia; and Clint E. Weber, Grove City; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Larkin Harris both of Fredonia; and Lukas Weber, Grove City; two sisters, Ruth Buckley and her husband Donald, Sandy Lake; and Nancy Minor and her husband Robert, Jackson Center; two brothers, John W. "Pete" Weber; and Richard Weber and his wife Mary Ellen, all of Grove City; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy and Janet Weber, both of Grove City.
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Samuel "Fred" and Charles A. "Chuck" Weber.
Memorials contributions may be made in Ed's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
Calling hours were Wednesday (12-26-12) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Funeral service was Thursday (12-27-12) in the funeral home with the Rev. David A. Lingle officiating.
Burial in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township, with military honors.
