SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP —
Donald Burdette Hoffman, Slippery Rock Township, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at home. He was 64.
Mr. Hoffman was born Dec. 5, 1948 in Grove City to J. Jackson Burdette and Martha E. Gurney Hoffman.
A Marine veteran, he served in Vietnam.
Mr. Hoffman was a machinist and had worked for Herr-Voss in Callery, Pa.
He enjoyed hunting and having a good time with his family and friends.
He married the former Lori Ann Meyer on June 11, 1988. She survives.
Also surviving are: three daughters, Emily D., Samantha D. and Sarah D. Hoffman, all at home; four sisters, Elizabeth “Betty" Connelley, Cranberry Township; Virginia "Ginny" Lance, Karns City; Joann Bonetti, wife of Albert, Slippery Rock; and Marilyn "Putty" Arblaster, wife of Doug, Slippery Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours were Friday (12-14-12) in Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock, and Saturday (12-15-12) in West Liberty (Borough) United Methodist Church.
Funeral service was Saturday in the church with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor, officiating.
Interment in Slippery Rock (Township) Cemetery, with full military service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs, KY 41076.
