HARRISVILLE —
The Rev. Virginia M. Wiley of Harrisville, formerly of Farrell, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday (6-27-12) in Autumn Grove, Harrisville. She was 81.
Rev. Wiley was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Sharon, a daughter of Shurberry and Willa C. Ford Morrison.
She was a 1950 graduate of Farrell High School and worked as a teacher's aide at Farrell Middle School.
As a member of Greater Morris Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Farrell, she served on the Usher Board and Stewardess Board #2; had been a church secretary; was a member of the choir and a local elder for the church.
Rev. Wiley also belonged to Order of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter 47 (Prince Hall Affiliation), Farrell.
She is survived by two daughters, Lachelle and her husband Daniel Carr; and Willa Roye, all Sharon; a son, Marvin Wiley, Rhode Island; a brother, Charles Morrison, Massachusetts; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Keith, Lloyd and Roderick Wiley; and three brothers, Susberry, George and James Morrison.
Calling hours are 10 to 10:50 a.m. Friday (7-6-12) in Greater Morris Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 926 Darr Ave., Farrell. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (7-6-12) in the church with Prophetess Fontineese Green, Rev. Wiley's granddaughter, as eulogist, and the Rev. Acquanetta Osborne, officiating.
Interment in Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
