GREENVILLE —
Gerald "Jerry" R. Steuart of 130 Plum St., Greenville, passed away following a two-year battle with cancer at 3:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in his residence. He was 74.
Mr. Steuart was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Franklin to Gerald P. and Audine L. Feltenberger Steuart.
He attended Mercer schools and worked in the transportation department at the former Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad in Greenville, from which he retired after 31 years of service.
He was a member of Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ in Greenville, where he enjoyed helping prepare hundreds of chicken pies to be sold as fundraisers.
Years ago, he helped coach Greenville Little League. He was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed playing in the senior league at Pinehill Golf Course in Greenville.
Jerry is survived by his wife, at home, the former Diane K. Fetterhoff, whom he married Sept. 23, 1960.
Also surviving are: a son, Jeffrey Steuart and his wife Kimberly, and a daughter, Cindy Wood and her husband Ronald, all Greenville; and five grandchildren, Dylan Steuart, McKenna Breese, Seth Breese, Chase Wood and Megan Wood.

Funeral and committal service was Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Philip J. Garner, pastor of Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ, Greenville, officiating.
Interment in Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
