NEW WILMINGTON —
Maxine C. McKinney-Fair, New Wilmington, formerly of Wheatland, died at 1:51 p.m. Oct. 13, 2012, at home. She was 71.
Ms. McKinney-Fair was born Nov. 6, 1940, in Butler, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian Keller McLaughlin.
She worked as a caregiver in private homes in the Shenango Valley and at John XXIII, Hermitage.
Ms. McKinney was a member of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Wheatland American Legion and she enjoyed bowling, bingo, gardening, and going to garage sales.
Surviving are: a daughter, Maxine C. Cluse of Wheatland; three sons, Charles J. McKinney Jr. of New Wilmington, Paul R. Fair of Sharon, and Terry L. Fair of Farrell; four sisters, Nancy Cogswell of Ohio, Carol Young and Shirley McLaughlin of Pennsylvania, and Emma Jean Bierce of Washington; four brothers, Clarence McLaughlin, Tommy McFarland of Grove City, Kenny McFarland of Ohio, and Bud McFarland of Maine; 10 grandchildren, Richard, Amanda Jo, Danielle, Tom, Ward, Kayla, Tobey, Tyler, Paula Ann, Mike; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-parents who raised her, Ab and Mary Richards; her fiance of 33 years, Larry T. "Fuzzy" Newman; and one sister, Leona.
Calling hours were Monday (10-15-12) in John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hermitage.
Funeral service was Tuesday (10-16-12) in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Robert McFarland of Chestnut Ridge Church, Hubbard.
Burial in Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
