NEWPORT NEWS, Va. —
V. Darlene Crocker of Bohannon, Va., passed away at 3:37 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Newport News, Va. She was 68.
She was born April 6, 1944, in Stoneboro to Claire Irwin Galentine and Velma Stamp Galentine.
She was a resident of Mathews County, Virginia, since 1987. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant by Bay Aging.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward P. Crocker, at home; her daughters, Karen Dayrit and her husband Carlos, Foster, Va.; Shelly Cameron and her husband Gregory, Bohannon; Sherry Elmaayergy and her husband Hatem, Gloucester, Va.; Jacqueline Gerome and her husband Steven, Los Angeles; and Darlene Whitley and her husband Jeff, Wake, Va.; eight grandsons and two granddaughters; her sisters, Arlene Kinney, a twin; and Betty O'Day, Deborah Dick and Sally Hartner; and her brothers, David and Wayne Galentine.
Calling hours were Monday (10-1-12) in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews, Va.
Funeral services were Monday in the funeral home.
Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery, Miles, Va.
