GROVE CITY —
June I. Bohlender, formerly of Brookfield and Stoneboro, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (2-19-13) in Grove Manor, Grove City, after a period of failing health. She was 97.
Born June 20, 1915, in Sandy Lake Township, Mrs. Bohlender was a daughter of Alexander M. and Eliza Jane "Lyda" Lucas Sharp.
She was a 1933 graduate of the former Sandy Lake High School and attended business school in Sharon.
For several years, June owned and operated the Shandaggen in Jackson Center; then, for more than 21 years, she owned and operated the Hollywood Grille of Masury.
She had been a member of Stoneboro Presbyterian Church.
In earlier years, June loved to go golfing and was a member of Yankee Run Golf Course, Brookfield. She also enjoyed living at The Villages in Florida for many years.
As a young girl, June loved spending time at Stoneboro Lake and diving off the high dive. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her three husbands, Paul Schwartz, Terrance "Ted" Reiser and Donald Bohlender, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Miriam Reeg, St. Cloud, Fla.; two sons, Paul Schwartz and his wife Pat, also St. Cloud; and Terrence "Ted" Reiser and his wife Michele, Mercer; and nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her three husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Audrey Gray and Maxine Dunkle; and a brother, Alex Sharp Jr.
Calling hours and funeral services were Friday (2-22-13) in Scott A. Black Funeral Home, Stoneboro, with the Rev. Adam J. Rodgers, pastor, Stoneboro Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
