GROVE CITY —
Mary V. Warner of Pine Township died at 1:05 p.m. Friday (1-11-13) in Trinity Living Center, Grove City, after a brief illness. She was 97.
Mrs. Warner was born in Pardoe, Findley Township, on Jan. 5, 1916, to Peter and Mary Amhoff Kolb.
She married Joseph A. Warner, who preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Warner was a homemaker. In her earlier years she was a beautician. She formerly co-owned Mary's Beauty Shop, Brookville, Pa.
She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mercer.
A graduate of Grove City High School, her favorite hobby was playing the piano, and she enjoyed reading.
Survivors include: three children; James E. Warner, Diana J. Warner and Dennis M. Warner, all of Grove City; a granddaughter, Melanie Bossler, Evans City; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Laura Magargee and Frances A. Filer; and two brothers, Paul and John Kolb; and an infant son, Stephen Alan Warner.
Calling hours were Monday (1-14-13) in Cunningham Funeral Home, Inc., Grove City.
Mass of Christian burial was Tuesday (1-15-13) in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mercer, with the Rev. James J. Kennelley as celebrant.
Burial in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
