NEW CASTLE —
Benjamin Calvin Gault Sr. of Greenfield Road, Lackawannock Township, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, in the hospital of Jameson Health System, New Castle. He was 86.
Mr. Gault was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Lackawannock Township to John Gilkey Gault and Mary Summerville Gault.
He attended Greenfield School.
Mr. Gault retired from the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant in June 1988 after working 34 years.
He was a member of West Middlesex Methodist Church and Mount Pleasant Grange for more than 50 years.
Benjamin enjoyed spending time with his family.
He married Sarah Elizabeth Stubbs on Nov. 22, 1947; she survives. They had been married 65 beautiful years.
Besides his wife, at the residence, he leaves: two daughters, Ruth Ann Linder, Ashland, Ohio; and Janet Gault, Lackawannock Township; three sons, James and his wife Sandy, Grove City; Benjamin and his wife Marsha; and Paul and his wife Pam, New Wilmington; and his grandchildren, James and his wife Julie Linder; Timothy and his wife Jennifer Linder; Christine Linder; Bryan Gault; and Kevin and his wife Stephanie Gault; Ronald and Jarrod Gault; Arloe and his wife Jennifer Tonks; and Kyle Tonks.
He also leaves eight great-grandchildren and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Memorial service is at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, in West Middlesex United Methodist Church.
