GROVE CITY —
Peggy L. McCoy, formerly of East Main Street Extension and Fellowship Manor, both Pine Township, and Carrie Way, Grove City, passed away following a 10-year illness at 1:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City, where she was a resident since July 2012. She was 80.
Mrs. McCoy was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Grove City to Archie D. Thompson and Hazel M. Moon Thompson.
Her husband, Kenneth G. McCoy, whom she married July 8, 1954, passed away Dec. 17, 1994.
Peggy retired in 1994 from Holter School Bus Lines where she was a school bus driver for Grove City Area School District. She drove for 33 years, working for both the Holter and Farren bus companies.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.
Peggy enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are: three children, Linda Lutzvitch and her husband Paul, Ardmore, Pa.; Debbie Thompson and her husband Edward, Plainfield, Ill.; and Lee A. McCoy, Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Ardmore; and Michael Thompson, Plainfield; and a great-grandchild, Kenzie Thompson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marian Filer.
Private family visitation was held.
Private family services are today (2-16-13) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, with the Rev. Willard S. Morse, visitation pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating.
Interment in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
