PITTSBURGH —
Charlotte A. Switzer, Sandy Lake Township, passed away at 1:04 p.m. Friday (2-8-13) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. She was 47.
Born Aug. 23, 1965, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Elmer E. and Frances P. Godlewski Feth.
She was a 1983 graduate of South High School, Pittsburgh, and a graduate of North Hampton Community College with a degree in early childhood education.
She had worked as a nurse's aide at Orchard Manor Nursing Home and also worked at Community Day Care, both Grove City.
Since 2002, she owned and operated Switzer Group Day Care of Stoneboro.
Mrs. Switzer was a member of the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.
Charlotte always loved helping others, especially children, but most of all she was a loving wife and mother.
Her husband, David E. Switzer, whom she married July 4, 1992, survives at home; also surviving are a daughter, Nowell Switzer, at home; a sister, Patricia Harrilla and her husband Joseph, Pittsburgh; and two brothers, Edward Feth and his wife Elizabeth, Pittsburgh; and Frank Feth and his wife Susan, Monroeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, David Feth.
There were no calling hours.
Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday (2-16-13) in Church of the Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St., Ext., Grove City, with the Rev. Michael Allison, pastor, as celebrant.
Inurnment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
