FRENCH CREEK TWP —
Kathryn A. (Fisher) Becker, French Creek Township, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Sunday (10-7-12) at home after a short illness. She was 77.
She was born Aug. 3, 1935, at New Castle's Jameson Hospital to Clarence A. and Sara I. Boyd Fisher.
Mrs. Becker was raised in Stoneboro and was a 1953 graduate of the former Stoneboro High School.
She was a licensed beautician and was a telephone operator in Las Vegas when she married Harry R. Becker in the Las Vegas United Methodist Church with Rev. Jon Longfellow presiding on Nov. 12, 1964.
Kathryn and her husband were longtime members of the Sandy Lake Alliance Church.
She was a member of the Polk Quilters for many years.
Her husband Harry survives at home; also surviving is a son Jack A. Becker, Ruther Glen, Va.; two daughters: Crystal A. Becker, Utica, and Diane K. Riggs and husband William, Houston; two sisters, Frances Weaver, and husband Robert, and Marian Egger, and husband Jud, all Stoneboro.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Calling hours were Tuesday (10-9-12) in Scott A. Black Funeral Home, Stoneboro.
Funeral and committal service were Wednesday (10-10-12) in the funeral home with the Rev. Pat L. Confer, pastor of Sandy Lake Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, New Vernon Township.
