GROVE CITY —
Erma Jane Blair of Grove City, formerly of Hermitage, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City, after an extended illness. She was 80.
Miss Blair was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Sharon to W. Wallace Blair and Esther Winner Blair.
She was an alumna of Brookfield High school class of 1950..
Erma was employed by Trumbull County Department of Human Services as a office manager for 21 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, Miss Blair served from 1955-59.
She was a member of the Embroiderers Guild of America, the American Needlepoint Guild Inc. and was a Brownie leader in Brookfield Township for 10 years..
Surviving are several great-stepnieces and great-great-stepnieces and -nephew.
Erma was preceded in death by her father, W. Wallace Blair; her mother, Esther Winner Blair Reiter; her stepmother, Doris A. Blair; her stepfather, George Reiter; and a brother, William W. Blair IV.
There were no calling hours.
Memorial service at 4 p.m. Monday (10-8-12) in the chapel of John Flynn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage, with the Rev. Joyce Lawson, pastor of Brookfield United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial in West Side Cemetery, South Pymatuning Township.
