PHILADELPHIA —
Sherry Ruby of Highlands, N.J., died at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Cancer Treatment Center of Philadelphia. She was 63.
Born in Mercer, she lived there until 1977 when she moved to New York; she moved to Highlands in 1992.
Mrs. Ruby worked as a management consultant for Citibank, and also worked for Chase Manhattan Management Consulting, Chemical Bank and Fort Monmouth, all New York.
She was co-owner of Seascape Manor Bed and Breakfast, Highlands, which started in 1993; she also ran an antique booth in the Red Bank (N.J.) Antique Center.
Mrs. Ruby was a member of the Highlands Council in 2001, the Highlands Planning Board and Highlands Historical Society.
She was a communicant of New Life Christian Church, Highlands.
She was a very loving, kind person who was always there for those in need; she made friends easily.
She was predeceased by her brother, Cecil Eugene Gill; and her father, Cecil F. Gill.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Adamec; her mother, Edith Gill; a sister, Gloria Miller; and a brother, Dwight Gill.
A memorial service is being held by the family at 5 p.m. Monday (10-8-12) in Old Salem United Methodist Church, Methodist and Sheakleyville roads, Sugar Grove Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to Old Salem United Methodist Church, 1030 Methodist Road, Greenville, PA 16125.
