PINE —
Robert J. Buchanan of Pine Township sadly passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, surrounded by his family. He went home to the Lord at the age of 69.
Mr. Buchanan was born March 21, 1943, to Kenneth and Virginia Slonka Buchanan.
He served in the Air Force and retired from General Electric Co., Grove City and Pine Township, with more than 20 years of service.
Mr. Buchanan was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Mercer.
He enjoyed being involved in the Classic Car Croozers as well as woodworking, vehicles, hunting, working part-time at Agway, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Deverah Craig Buchanan; his daughter, Shelly and Michael Bocheff; and his son, Keith Buchanan and Suzanne. He was the proud grandad to Cole, Cord, Sierra and Saige.
Also surviving are three sisters, Jean Buchanan, Virginia Houston and Linda Cypher, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mercer.
