GROVE CITY —
D. Dale Barbour of Volant passed away Thursday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2013, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 75.
Born May 17, 1937, in New Castle, Mr. Barbour was a son of Carl and Margaret Leslie Barbour.
Dale married Carolyn R. Stonebraker on April 6, 1957; she passed away Dec. 24, 2010.
A graduate of New Castle High School, he was a retired self-employed contractor.
Dale was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Mahoning Lodge 243, New Castle; and Scottish Rite's New Castle Consistory.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and carpentry.
Survivors include two daughters, Jerri Barbour-Dohre, Hermitage; and Elizabeth Myers, Volant; three sons, Scott Barbour and Robin Barbour, both New Castle; and Dale Paul Barbour, Greenville; a sister, Ilene; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial service was Monday (1-14-13) in R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, with the Rev. John Yergan officiating. Online condolences offered at www.cunninghamfh.com
