GREENVILLE —
Sherry Lee DeGregory McPeak of Sharon Road, West Salem Township, Greenville, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday (12-27-12) at her residence. She was 57.
Born April 11, 1955, in Grove City, she was the daughter of Michael DeGregory and Vera Barnes DeGregory.
On Sept. 3, 1988, she married Earl McPeak.
She graduated from Grove City High School in 1974 and attended nurses training at Youngstown State University.
She worked as an LPN and as a promotional director for nonprofit organizations.
Very much a people person, she enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home. She especially enjoyed family and friends for Christmas parties.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Mercer.
She is survived by her husband, at the residence; her mother, Vera DeGregory of Pearl River, N.Y.; her daughter, Kelly Claypoole of Stoneboro; two sons, John Cogswell of Sharpsville; and Shawn McPeak of Greenville; five grandchildren; three brothers, David and Larry DeGregory and Jack Styles; and three sisters, Sharon and Carolyn DeGregory and Shela Reppart.
She was preceded in death by her father and her daughter, Joyce DeGregory.
Calling hours are were Sunday (12-30-12) at Smith Funeral Home of Leesburg, Volant.
Funeral service was Monday (12-31-12) at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Swartz of Mercer Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.
