Mary E. Labor of Fellowship Manor, Grove City, formerly of North Liberty Road, Pine Township, passed away at 4:53 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after an 11-month illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Labor was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Harrisville to Carl Ferguson and Clementina Eaton Ferguson.
She was a graduate of Harrisville High School class of 1946.
Mary retired in 1990 from SATEC, Grove City, where she was employed for 20 years. Formerly she worked at the former Dad's Restaurant and the Ash Shoe Store, both Grove City.
She was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.
Mary was a caring person and a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Her husband, Guy P. Labor, whom she married May 2, 1953, died Jan. 16, 2002.
Surviving are: three daughters, Pamela K. Weaver and her husband Jeff, South Riding, Va.; Brenda J. Collar and her husband Robert E., Hilton Head, S.C.; and Guyla A. Porterfield and her husband Brian H., Hermitage; seven grandchildren, Kaitlin and Michael Weaver; Justin and Bobby Collar; Matthew Dumbroski; and Nikki and Tyler Armstrong; four great-grandchildren, Owen and Isabella Dumbroski; and Ben and Jackson Collar; two sisters, Opal Difilippo, Tampa, Fla.; and Edna Nulph, Grove City; and two brothers, Albert Ferguson and his wife Scottie, Lititz, Pa.; and Raymond Ferguson and his wife Janet, Mercer.
Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mildred Wall, Mona Bollinger and Lois Ferguson; and three brothers, R. Clair Ferguson, Lester Ferguson and William Braden Ferguson.
Calling hours were Thursday (12-20-12) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., Grove City.
Mass of Christian burial was Friday (12-21-12) in Church of the Beloved Disciple, Pine Township, with the Rev. Michael P. Allison, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment in Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
