GROVE CITY —
Martin M. "Pete" Wimer of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, formerly of Carrie Way, Grove City; and of Harrisville, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday (2-22-13) in Trinity Living Center. He was 86.
He was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Karns City to Hugh T. and Margaret E. (Wimer) Wimer.
He was a machine operator for 43 years at the former Cooper Energy Services, Grove City, retiring in 1988. He then worked at Bashlin Leather, Grove City.
He was a member of Forestville United Methodist Church and was a former member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.
He married Leona I. McCurdy on June 30, 1951. She died Oct. 23, 2011.
Surviving are: a daughter, Barbara A. Arblaster, wife of David S., Slippery Rock; three sons, Donald A. Wimer and his wife Diane, Jordan, Minn.; Martin B. Wimer, Hollidaysburg, Pa..; and Randall L. Wimer and his wife Cindy, Slippery Rock; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a foster sister, Alberta McNany and her husband Thomas, Florida.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; foster parents, Earl W. and Lenore H. Eyer; two grandsons; three sisters; eight brothers; two foster sisters; and three foster brothers.
