GROVE CITY — Neil Conrad Snyder of West Liberty Road, Brady Township, Butler County, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City. He was 87.

Mr. Snyder was born June 22, 1924, in Brady Township, Butler County, to Elvy Floyd Snyder and Helen E. Badger Snyder.

He graduated from Slippery Rock High School and was an Army veteran.

Mr. Snyder was a lifelong dairy farmer who was very passionate about farming.

He was a Brady Township supervisor for many years and had been very active with the Conservation District for Butler County, serving as a former chairman.

Neil enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had attended Muddy Creek (Township) Presbyterian Church, Butler County.

His wife, the former Betty Hovis, is deceased.

Besides his wife, Betty, Neil was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Ruth Snyder; and two brothers, Paul and Elvy Snyder.

Surviving are a brother, John O. Snyder, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were Saturday (3-10-12) in Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock.

Funeral service was Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor of West Liberty United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment in Muddy Creek (Township) Cemetery, Butler County.
