SHARON —
Albert Luther Juricks, 1020 Tenth St., Sharon, formerly of French Street Extension and Avalon Springs, Coolspring Township, died at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday (1-16-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 92.
He was born Nov. 4, 1919, in Sharon, the son of Frisbee Juricks and Margaret Moody Juricks.
Mr. Juricks attended Sharon schools.
He was retired and had worked at Valley Mould, Hubbard, Ohio, Shenango Inc., Sharpsville, and Baglier and Stupka auto dealerships.
He was a member of bowling leagues in Mercer and Mahoning counties.
Mr. Juricks served in the Army during World War II.
He married Bertha M. Cromartie Wiley Juricks on Oct. 26, 1925. She died July 31, 1989.
Mr. Juricks is survived by: a daughter, Wendi K. Juricks, Hermitage; his goddaughter whom he raised, Rhoda Williamson, New York; stepson Lester R. Wiley, Corona, Calif.; family friend Isaiah Deas, Sharon; five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Martha Juricks and Irene Walker; a brother, Benjamin "Mike" Juricks; and stepson Glen Wiley.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Friday (1-25-13) in the Wilbert L. Shannon Funeral Home, 33 Broadway Ave., Wheatland.
Funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Bishop Sallie M. Saunders, co-pastor of Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, Farrell, officiating. Military honors will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7597.
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
