HERMITAGE —
Julia Marie "Lovie" Roberts, 1279 Hofius Lane, Hermitage, passed away at 6:39 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in her home after a very brief illness. She was 82.
Mrs. Roberts was born May 1, 1930, in Wheatland, a daughter of Kalman and Mary Madasz Gancsos.
A lifelong area resident, she was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School.
As a homemaker and an active member of Abundant Life World Outreach Center, South Pymatuning Township, she was very devoted to her family and church.
She was also a hospice volunteer.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Roberts, at home; a daughter, Kathleen Edney and her husband Michael, Stoneboro; a son, Daniel Roberts and his wife Lynne, Fredonia; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Timothy and Andrew Edney; and three stepgrandchildren, Candy Greenfield, Andrew Shaffer and Paul Brakeman.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Sharon Regional Hospice for their exceptional care during Julia's brief illness.

Funeral service was Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Hope E. Dalesandro, pastor, officiating.
Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Sharpsville.
