Springfield woman was caregiver, enjoyed family

SPRINGFIELD — Linda Rhoanne Bennett of Mercer (Springfield Township) passed away at 6:46 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. She was 48.

Mrs. Bennett was born May 18, 1964, in New Castle, Lawrence County, a daughter of James G. and Thelma Ezzell Peters.

As a youth, she attended Wilmington High School.

She worked as a personal caregiver in the health care field.

Linda enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Her husband, William Lester Bennett, whom she married June 28, 1985, survives at home.

She also leaves: a daughter, Courtney and her husband Gregory Kavalos, Volant; a grandson, Evan Kavalos; and two sisters, Barbara and her husband Kenneth Forsythe; and Brenda Shirey, all Volant.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours were Thursday (12-6-12) in Smith Funeral Home of Leesburg, Springfield Township.

Funeral service was Friday (12-7-12) in the funeral home.

Interment in North Plain Grove Cemetery, Lawrence County.
