GROVE CITY —
Shelley D. (Wible) Surrena, formerly of Grove City, went to be with the Lord Saturday (12-22-12) after a courageous 18-year battle with cancer. She was 53.
Shelley was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Grove City, to C. Wayne "Mickey" and Virginia D. "Ginney" (Elder) Wible.
Shelley graduated from Grove City High School.
She worked as a secretary for Ella Canavan Elementary School and Medina (Ohio) School System for the last 10 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Medina and belonged to Rebekah Circle.
Shelley loved spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed walking her beloved dog Rudy.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard; her sons, Ryan (Weilin) and Chad; her granddaughter, Leah; her brother, William Wible, Largo Fla.; her sisters, Carol (Mick) VanVoorhis, King of Prussia, Pa.; Shawnee (Bud) Denbow, Grove City; her mother-in-law, Joann Surrena (whose husband Richard is deceased), Grove City; her brother-in-law, Randy Surrena, Grove City; her sister-in-laws, Rhonda Smith, Grove City; and Renea (Rob) Gaus, Fombell, Beaver County. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Methodist Church of Medina or Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
