Harrisville woman was chef at restaurants

HARRISVILLE — Audrey Lucille Lucas Robinson of Harrisville passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. She was 76.

Mrs. Robinson was born June 27, 1936, in Erie to James Harrison Lucas and Chesta Klingensmith Lucas. When Audrey was six months old, the family moved to Mercer.

As a child, she attended Cape Horn Grade School and Stoneboro High School. Audrey graduated in 1954, which was the last graduating class from Stoneboro High School.

Audrey then attended IBM School and worked as a key punch operator at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.

After discovering a love for cooking, Audrey attended culinary school and spent the remainder of her working years as a chef in various restaurants.

Her generous heart was always known for feeding anyone who came to her door.

Audrey is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Paul L. Robinson, Harrisville.

She is also survived by four children, Cathy A. Robinson, Erie; Debby D. and her husband Bruce Rea, Slippery Rock; James H. Robinson and his wife Jennifer, Harrisville; and Larry A. Robinson, Huntington, Ind.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Filer and Pauline Hale; and a brother, Paul Lucas, all Mercer.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Lucas.

Calling hours were Thursday (9-6-12) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., Grove City.

Funeral service was Thursday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Jones, pastor of Harmony Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment in Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harrisville Little League in care of Tiffany Bell, 188 Smith Valley Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
