Every time I think it is going to get nice it gets cold and starts to snow, not just for one day but for two or three days.

Jackson Center couple are March of Dimes ambassadors
Jacqueline and Jared McCullough were happy to be expecting their first child. The Jackson Center couple never dreamed of any complications like a premature birth until Izzabelle was born 12 weeks too soon and no one knew if she would survive.

Six Girl Scouts from Troop 30434, Hadley, have attained the highest award given by the scouts, the prestigioius Girl Scout Gold Award.

Harrisville residents may have seen in the borough newsletter that Harrisville council has changed its annual Community Day from July 4 to Sept. 7 this year.

Facing what he calls an exploding population of people who are 85 years old and older, Sam Bellich, newly appointed director of Mercer County Area Agency on Aging Inc., says he intends to be the best advocate he can possibly be, even while needs outpace funding at every turn.

Goal is getting the beds to kids
Decorated with their favorite cartoon characters and lined with stuffed animals, 3-year-old Michael Biro Jr. and his 7-year-old sister Jaylynn Rust's beds are comfy and cozy.

Parade food drive starts Dec. 8
Olde Town Grove City and the Grove City Community Food Pantry have started the Parade of Trees, an annual event that collects donations for the food pantry by pairing local businesses and nonprofits to display Christmas tree in the merchants' windows.
