Run For Your Library 5K

The Grove City Community Library staff will join the Cranberry Public Library for the 2nd annual Run For Your Library 5K. Last year they hosted 297 runners/walkers and raised over $4,000 for 15 different Pennsylvania libraries.

With this year’s 5K event, on July 14 at Cranberry Community Park, organizers are hoping to raise funds and awareness for struggling public libraries during these financially trying times. A goody bag and an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast hosted by the Cranberry Lions Club are provided and there is also a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run.

Registration form and flyer are available at the library or on www.ctcchest.org

Adult summer reading

The adult summer reading program at the Grove City Library will run until Aug. 31. No sign up is necessary. To participate, simply fill out a bookmark with 10 titles (magazines, books, ebooks, or audiobooks) and enter to win a fabulous prize. Bookmarks are located at the front desk. Check out a recommended title, write a book review, or borrow a “title unknown” and it counts as two titles on your list.
