PITTSBURGH —
Elaine Carol Farkas, of 320 Shenango Boulevard, Farrell, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday (1-4-13) in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, after an extended illness. She was 55.
Mrs. Farkas was born July 2, 1957 in Grove City to John S. and Muriel Jewell Stull. She was a 1975 graduate of Reynolds High School.
She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, puzzles and working on the family farm.
She married Joseph P. Farkas on Dec. 9, 1978.
Mrs. Farkas is survived by her husband, at home; twin sons, John Joseph Farkas and David Allen Farkas, both of Farrell; her mother, Muriel Stull, Mercer; two brothers, Kenneth Stull and his wife, Sue, Fredonia; Scott Stull and his wife, Kathy, Hermitage; also several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Stull; paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Funeral service was Monday (1-7-13) at the funeral home, with retired Rev. Donald Wilson officiating.
